Katraco Office building

Katraco office building is located in Bourj Hammoud sea road next to Demco. Katraco is a trade machinery firm specialized in excavators, breakers, used equipment, and spare parts for used equipment...

The program was to build a showroom and an office building for the firm. The result was a transformable tower, frozen in time, composed by two entities, adapted to the theme of excavators.

There exist two entrances, one for the showroom with a direct access to the sea road, and the other for the office building and the upper floors. Each floor in the building has it s own character that differ from the others through a manipulation of several arrangements and layouts. The project became an urban manifestation of a prognostication within a sarcastic context.
